  1. That sums it up, doesn't it? Beware, all ye who enter. Prepare for soul-leeching depravity and human bondage.

  2. Yes, that is a good example of accurate labelling.

    Happy Halloween!

  3. Wouldn't it just be a gas if the people who put up the sign dressed in authentic Basil Wolverton tribulation costumes on Halloween? They could stage a "die in", somewhat as nuclear protestors have done in demonstrations of times past.

Someone dressed as an angel could blow a trumpet, and right on cue, four horsemen could come gallumphing across the campus, initiating the ceremonies. Other individuals could dress up as Herbert W. Armstrong, Garner Ted (accompanied by an entourage of chicks), Roderick C. Meredith, Stanley Rader, and other old school WCG luminaries.

This could become an annual event, rivalling the Hollywood midnight showings of Rocky Horror Picture Show!

  4. Oh man that is such a cool idea! Can I be Garner Ted?

  5. That is funny.

Imagine Boris Karloff doing the narration for an on-site halloween viewing of the apocalyptic parts of the W T broadcasts and behind the work films.

  6. There would be "Day of Atonement" masks similar to the old Greek tradegy masks- the kind with the leering frown.

  7. I am the one who posted this on the alumni board. My sister-in-law saw the banner and had to stop and get a picture of it. Unbelievably ironic, isn't it?? And funny.

  8. Hey Christy, thanks for that, the photo was forwarded so I didn't know where it was sourced from. I've had another version sent since with a ghostly Herb and Loma superimposed, and will post that sometime too. Great shot!

  9. Hi Gavin, the edited version was done by a friend of ours to the original. He did a good job, and I must say, it's scary! :) As the sign says "Enter at your own risk." I guess I did that, but I wouldn't have minded having a warning!

  10. I wish HWA and GTA could see this. GTA, on the next Sabbath, would launch into a scathing tirade denouncing the "psychophantic interlopers" who kept his father from him and destroyed the Work which he had helped build and had been a part of for over fifty years, on television and radio and when he flew the Fan Jet Falcon and when he was on WEQH out of such and such city that reached so many millions of people and he had lunch with this or that Israeli leader and the Churches of this World refuse to obey God and my father, ect, ect.

GTA rambled alot in the last few years. I see that Rod Meredith is doing the same.

  11. Sorry..I think that is supposed to be "sycophantic," but in retrospect, "psychophantic" works just as well, maybe more so.

  12. Religion should really come with a warning label like cigarettes.

  13. Was this a recent picture? If it is
I'm surprised that the Logo and lettering hasn't been changed to Maranatha High/ Harvest Rock since the HQ folks moved on/moved out to Glendora in April '06.

I thought the Hall of Admin was going to be torn down for condos.

  14. it certainly IS a fitting label now that the apostates have taken over

  15. Actually what it is, is a firm indicator that WCG was of men. The Armstrong empire has fallen apart just like the Bible says will happen if it is of men, and not of God.

Or, perhaps it was the Laodecean era. You have to admit that there was not a heck of a lot of brotherly love (phileo) in WCG. It was all selfish legalism. And, with all the splinters, it does appear that God has spewed them out of His mouth.

  16. Hi, HWA, GTA fans. You can believe all you want. We will believe all we want. If many hate HWA, GTA and other WCG of old luminaries , there are also many who value their teachings. At, least we are not of the hate groups.

You can go to hell if yo like but those things will help us cling harder to dear faith... and promised SALVATION.

HOW ABOUT YOURS? WILL YOU GET YOURS WHEN ALL YOU DO IS HATE,HATE AND HATE MORE.

    THE UNGODLY DIGS UP EVIL.

  17. This picture was taken in just the last week. I was also surprised that the sign hasn't been changed.
